In the month since TRUCKS, BOOTS, AND BELLS was published, it’s been a whirlwind of all my favorite things… school visits, bookstores, and firehouses!
School visits in Concord MA and Saratoga County, NY were full of joy and excitement. We had big groups, lots of excitement, and many questions!
Illustrator Aaron Marin and I had the chance to present together, and it’s always gratifying to see young writers light up with inspiration and begin writing poems.
Bookstore events are an adventure! You never know who’s going to show up. I love the chance to interact with readers.
Finally, the firefighting community has been enthusiastic in their response to the book, including the FDNY and fire departments on Cape Cod.
As the daughter of a firefighter, that makes me so happy.
More adventures are coming in November/December… including bookstores, a teachers’ convention, and my first big book festival. Stay tuned!
